About the Alto 912 TG

In South Africa today one is faced with choice when considering the purchase of a recreational LSA aircraft. In the USA there are now some 125 certified LSA aircraft and while we may not have that wide a choice we certainly do have options. Options aside, in South Africa, as the distributor of the Alto 912 TG I do not quarrel with those that tell me that the Sling 2 912 is the Go-To LSA in South Africa.

If you were to compare a weight shift trike to an Alto 912 TG you may conclude that there simply is no comparison. Yet, trike pilots will tell you that they do not need the extras and the lack thereof is what they love about "open air" trikes which offer the spirit, adventure and an experience akin to the early days of flight.

In the case of the trike vs the Alto, the differences are obvious but what of comparing the Alto to the Sling? The Sling is an awesome aircraft so why do Alto owners have no regrets and take immense pride in their aircraft?

Here goes!

Let’s delve into a comparative review of the South African Sling 2 and the Alto 912 TG. These light sport aircraft have distinct features, and understanding their differences can help evaluate their value for money.
