Audio and Video Playlists

Summary

The video and audio pages are playlists.

The video pages list thumbnail images down the side of the page with a brief description on the right. The videos in (in .flv, swf and MP4format ) can be hosted on the site or they can be linked to Youtube. Also the thumbnail images can be hyperlinked to any webpage or URL. An interesting option is to use the video page for non-video presentation purposes. The thumbnail image and the description could be used to introduce eBooks, corporate policy documents and more. Selecting the thumbnail would then navigate to a specified URL.

In many ways the Video Playlist page duplicates the functionality of LINK & LIST COMMUNICATORS.  They are ideal for the presentation of a short linked list that has a thumbnail image and brief description. If the list has many options the list will be very long as the minimum option row height is determined by the thumbnail image.

Commence by logging In and selecting one of the following:

First, create a Music Album and then add music files to the Album. Alternatively, commence with creating a Video Gallery Webpage and then add videos or hyperlinks to documents and URLs.

When you have opened the pages read the HOW TO TIPS. An example of a How TO Tips Page is offered below.

Video Albums | How To Tips

  • Overview: To add music/audio files to your website you need to commence with creating audio webpages. Webpages are individual webpages that list audio albums one below the next in rows. Each row that has a thumbnail image on the left and a description of the album on the right. When you select an album by clicking on the thumbnail image then a page displays with all of the album tracks that you have loaded. Each track will have a player where you can adjust the volume level etc.
  • Audio Webpages:
    • The Webpage is not automatically placed within your site. Once you have created an audio webpage you will need to link the URL provided for this page to a submenu item, image link, text link etc.
    • The Webpage type selected will add the website or the store's main page menubar on the page. This is needed to offer browsers a means to navigate to other pages on your site.
    • The Header Marquee, Footer Marquee and Footer Banner image may be set to be active or inactive but cannot be edited on this page.
    • The page may be password locked by setting the password entered to be Active. password locking the page is optional.
    • You may create a new header for this and each additional webpage that you create.
    • When you add music albums you will be required to select the audio webpages that they must be added to.
  • Add Music Albums: This is done above
    • Commence by selecting " Add Audio Gallery Album"
    • Make the selections offered on the next page and add the information required.
    • Select/click on the Add Audio option the number of times that you require to add your audio tracks. Each audio track added may be sequenced by adding an order number. The Audio Title will be displayed on the page that reflects all the audio tracks attached to this audio page.
