This popular tour is dedicated about the culture and customs of Zulu people. The tour first stop is KING SHAKA MEMORIAL which has a short presentation about King Shaka Zulu. Next stop is the main attraction which is Shakaland which was built for the movie SHAKA ZULU. It is the lifestyle replica of Shaka’s Royal Homestead which now serves as a living museum. The two hour guided tour is an educational insight into Zulu Culture before colonisation and modernization. This includes an opportunity to taste authentic Zulu beer and culminates with a show of spectacular Zulu dancing.

We take an easy walk to the Dlinza Forest Reserve which has high raised board walks which wind their through this beautiful reserve. Small duiker and a wide variety of bird life is what you can expect.

Enjoy a true cultural experience with a guided day trip to Shakaland, a living history museum of Zulu culture. Set out from Durban to explore this authentically recreated village, originally built as a movie set for the 2001 film 'Shaka Zulu.' Witness Zulu tribal dancing, visit with both an inyanga herbalist and a sangoma spiritual leader and indulge in some traditionally brewed beer. Start your tour with a visit to the King Shaka Memorial Site in KwaDukuza. Alongside the grave is a monument erected from funds collected by the Zulu nation, initiated by King Solomon Nkayishana kaDinuzulu.

Continue on to Shakaland which is a detailed and living museum of the most powerful and strong Zulu King Shaka who ruled the Zulu Kingdom for 12 years. Shakaland is also the filming location of the movie "Shaka Zulu". Experience a traditional ceremony and learn all about Zulu customs. Savor an authentic traditional beer and witness the amazing energy of Zulu dancing. This South African Zulu village offers a comprehensive Zulu experience, from foot-stomping tribal dancing by warriors in traditional animal skin clothing to consultations with a sangoma (spiritual leader believed to have the ability to communicate with the ancestors) and an inyanga (a traditional herbalist).

Enjoy a buffet lunch before you continue on to Dlinza Forest and cross an aerial boardwalk built above the forest floor.
